蝴蝶飞呀! 全网最震撼的蝴蝶大迁徙

Every year in September and October, millions of Monarch butterflies begin their migration across North America. It's one of the most spectacular migrations in the animal kingdom, and a sight that is truly breathtaking.

These butterflies travel from as far north as Canada, all the way down to Mexico - a journey that can take up to four generations of butterflies to complete. They fly up to 3,000 miles in total, navigating using the position of the sun and by sensing the earth's magnetic field.

The monarch butterfly is an important pollinator, playing an essential role in the pollination of many different plants. Unfortunately, their populations have been in decline in recent years, due to habitat loss and pesticide use. Much work is being done to try and preserve their numbers, but it's an uphill battle.

Despite the challenges, the annual migration of the Monarch butterfly remains one of the most awe-inspiring natural wonders on the planet. So next time you see a butterfly fluttering by, take a moment to think about the incredible journey it has made to get there.
